Cuguat-TIGRIS was partner in several ESPON 2006  projects (ESPON 3.2- Scenarios for Europe 2015 and 2030,  ESPON 3.4.1 - Europe in the World,  ESPON 4.1.2 - Data Navigator II – ESPON Handbook for Data acquisition, harmonization and Quality Assessment). Within ESPON 2013, Cuguat-TIGRIS is partner in the  transnational project group for the “ESPON database and data development” project, one of its objectives is a detailed database at European Union’s local administrative units. Cuguat - TIGRIS was also part of important projects such as HyperAtlas Europa / HyperCarte România, tools for multiscale analysis of Romanian and European territory.

Other ESPON projects with Romanian partners are „Climate Change and Territorial Effects on regions and local economies”, applied research project whose TPG includes the Institute for Research-Development in Urban and Territorial Planning – INCD URBANPROIECT, and „Territorial Diversity”, project proposed by a group of stakeholders including the Romanian Ministry for Regional Development and Housing and whose TPG includes the Center for Training and Innovation for Development in Carpathians from Vatra Dornei - CEFIDEC.
